GrEEn Day 2009 fair It is that time of the year again, when we highlight our concern for the environment and hold the Annual GrEEn Day 2009. The Third Annual Green Day will be held on October 18, 2009 at the Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren, NJ. We are really excited that for the very first time the GrEEn Day Fair will include the collaborative efforts of Green Brook, Long Hill, Warren, and Watchung townships. All of our communities share the same goal of minimizing our impact on the environment by reducing energy consumption and recycling waste. This year’s event theme is ‘Caring and Connecting Our Communities, One Footprint at a Time’.

The GrEEn Day fair is being held indoors, in the 7/8 Gymnasium.

We have planned a day of fun, excitement, discovery and enlightenment all themed to raise our collective awareness towards our environmental responsibility. This is an exciting and informational family-oriented experience that will help spread the message of conservation, sustainability and recycling. With a range of activities planned for kids and adults, it promises to be a fun-filled day for you and your family. You will also get to meet many environment conscious businesses and agencies presenting their energy efficient products and sustainable technologies.

The Green Day 2009 provides an opportunity for all students of our communities to showcase their favorite project on the subject of energy and environment conservation and sustainability. Please contact the Green Day Joint Committee or your school for information on how you can participate. There will also be a number of companies on the day of the event to present their energy efficient products and sustainable technologies.
